Scarborough's Location: Scarborough, Ontario, located in the eastern part of the city of Toronto was amalgamated with Toronto in 1998. For over 200 years Scarborough was it's own city but is now part of the 'East District' of Toronto. Scarborough is still used by most local residents, and is recognized by Canada Post as a municipality name. The Scarborough region is culturally diverse, with the vast majority of residents having arrived as immigrants in the last forty years.
